Feature Request: Fixed Y-Axis for “Workout Graph”
Hi Hammerhead team,
I’d like to suggest two improvements that would significantly enhance structured workouts on the Karoo 3:
1. Fixed Y-Axis Option for “Workout Graph – Visual Overview of the Workout (Visual)”
Current behavior:
The Y-axis of this visual graph adjusts dynamically based on my real-time power output. While I understand the intent behind this, it often results in a distorted or unclear view of the workout structure—especially when my actual power deviates from the target.
Why it’s a problem:
• It’s hard to interpret the workout accurately or anticipate what’s coming next.
• The graph may exaggerate or flatten intervals depending on execution.
• It removes the consistency needed to pace properly using the graph alone.
Suggestion:
Please add an option to lock or fix the Y-axis scale, based on the power targets defined in the workout.
Alternatively, allow a manual zoom setting so users can choose a static scale for better visibility.
2. New Datafield: “Next Primary Target”
Currently, there is no way to view the upcoming target (e.g., power, heart rate) on custom data screens. This becomes especially problematic when the workout requires a manual lap press to advance, as there’s no preview of what the next interval will demand.
Why this is critical:
• Users are left blind before hitting “Lap” — no way to prepare for the effort coming next.
• Being forced to switch to the workout screen disrupts the flow and limits flexibility.
Suggestion:
Please add a new datafield for “Next Primary Target”, so we can include this in our custom screens and always stay one step ahead in the workout.
Thanks again for your continued development and for listening to user feedback. These two features would make a huge difference for us.
