It would be very useful to have such a switch in the navigation option so that after leaving the route it would navigate EXACTLY to the this point. Option known from Garmin and very useful for people who want to ride long routes (e.g. cycling marathons) with exits for sleeping, food, service, etc. It would be best if such an option was in the profile settings, and during the ride with navigation, it would appear on the settings screen expanded from the top bar with the initial setting taken from the profile. The switch would give the possibility of navigation as now to the nearest return point somewhere ahead of me or exactly to the point where I left the route.

  I too find this interesting and would have had use cases for it during some long distance cycling events I have participated in.

  If hammerhead does not prioritize it, it could also be added using an extension thanks to the route access feature Hammerhead has added to the SDK. With an extension, you would get a datafield with a "navigate to last known point on route" button, which triggers a pin drop and navigation to that location (Extensions can not add stuff to the top-down or bottom drawers).

  Hi Timklge, if HH cannot do it, any extension will be useful. However built-in option will be better cos:
  - you can set default behavior for this cases;
  - you can fast switch default setting by using switch in top side menu;
  - you dont occupate additional data field.
