Maybe there is a good reason, but this is putting a strange feeling on me.

Because since the forum had a DOS attack, or whatever it was, quite a long time ago every forum user continues to be a subject of suspicion.

The delay, sometimes a few days, is annoying, especially when you're trying to problem solve for someone - the essence of 'community' disappears.

And yes i guess it happens to everyone, even this casual reply will need approval.

Maybe, but other forums I am using do not need this. Poor decision, hence.

Im on 50 forums, and no one uses that kind of protection. Would be worth considering remove it, or maybe have some other type of protection.

Hi all, Thanks for sharing your feedback.
I completely understand your views, but the reason we need to review all the posts and comments before they go out to the public is to avoid inappropriate comments, as we are responsible for keeping online spaces safe for our community. This helps us ensure a positive experience for everyone.

I wonder why this isn't done on any other forum I am using. This one here must be special.

Sorry, but that's more like a lame reason. We are here to talk, to comments even if sometimes not always in a good way, but maybe deservedly (or not). But this is life. And whats more, people who are posting here are 95% adults including me, which means we understand forum's rules, if not you can still act accordingly, so the ones who are not following them, will know how to behave eventually.

And if there really is an unappropriate post, you can simply: 1st time notify the user who wrote it (and delete it needed), and if it happens again, you can do sometihng more about it.

But its your forum and you can do with it what ever you like.

The whole point of my thread here is, that the converstation atm is really slow (too slow actually) with all the waiting before post is being published.

But there is something that's for certain (not counting the waiting time for post approval): the people who are responsible to answer and help people here, are in lots of occasions slow, not answering what they really should. Maybe that's the main reason which makes people engry. Reading lots of posts all over the forum, people asking for help, for upgrade, change or what ever, but there is simply no answer for days, weeks and even months. Would be cool if you guys fix that in the future. Thx for understanding.

Sorry but that is just the usual corporate excuse. 'Protect' the 0.05% at the expense of the 99.95%

As above, we're all adults here but you're treating us like children. Parenting community discourse does nothing but harm the progression of the Hammerhead community. We are not just customers we are users trying to help each other.

I am also in a lot of forum and can't agree with 0,05% to protect. A lot of users act like children and there is a lot of rubbish written. To find useful comments is often not easy.

In our fast-moving and impatient times, a little slowing down is very welcome. And since a bike computer is far from the most important thing in the world to me, it doesn't bother me in any way if I have to wait a day or over the weekend for my posts to be published.

It's Hammerhead's community board and they have to administer it in some way. I think it's less time consuming for them to manage it that way than to let the board run free and then try to control discussions that get too personal, which you often find in open forums.

When I have a real problem with my Karoo, I send a request directly to Hammerhead and usually the response comes as quickly as expected. Since I don't think Hammerhead has as large a staff as some here believe, I think they often have to prioritize where and to which request or comment they respond first. So I appreciate that they are still active in this community - if you look at the Garmin community, the situation there is very similar.

"A lot of users act like children"

In more than three years on the forum I cannot recall any childish comments. I can recall many questions of obvious solution and ones critical of the product and HH but nothing that warrants such strict ring-fencing.

I've been on Garmin's for over 15 years and several other bike forums for +20 years and not one of them compares to the lack of fluidity as this platform.

Beside the fact, that I think LG's 'act like children' referred to others forums, nobody knows how many childish comments would have flooded this forum without reviewing the posts in advance.
