Absolutely absurd ascent recorded in windy conditions or going fast

Hey!
I've owned the Karoo 2 for 3 years now. Ascent recorded was never great, but only 20-30% over the actual when I compare it to Strava.

2 months ago I bough a new road bike - a lot more aero and faster. Ever since if I ride in windy-ish conditions (nothing dramatic) or if I kick it hard in a flat or descent I can see ascent recorded moving up by few meters every 100 meters going on a flat road or even on a sharp descent, which accumulates and I get a total ascent recorded of 3 to 5 TIMES more than the actual. This renders this metric as totally unusable.

Recalibrated the barometric sensor several time using the auto option. Done so also inputting the value manually - no result. Every time I go 40+ kmph i can see ascent adding up even thou I am not climbing.

I am not using SIM card and I am not syncing with my phone.

My last ride was 100km - Karoo recorded 1960m and Strava corrected it to 420m

Looking for a way to minimize the error... There should be a way of implementing some sort of software solution even thou it looks like a hardware problem
