Varia radar audio alert tone changed mid-ride

I prefer the original loud audio alerts for my Garmin Varia Radar. When Hammerhead updated the alerts, I chose the original alerts (longer and louder). This worked fine for my rides until yesterday, when mid-ride, the Varia alerts were the short and loud. When I checked my settings in the profile, nothing had changed-longer and louder was still selected. What caused my radar alert to change mid-ride? Was this a temporary bug/glitch, or did Hammerhead make another change?
