Stop sensor disconnecting tones

My varia disconnects like 10-15 times during a 50 mile ride. How do I disable the disconnecting sound? It’s so annoying when you’re riding with a group and the head unit just chrips nonstop.

  Yes, a fix for this would be great! The alert often gets me strange looks in rush hour traffic! 😆

  I had a ride this last weekend where it was going off like crazy and even at rest stop when I was just standing there.  Embarrassing:(  Everyone heard it, but I didn't say anything until a couple guys went back to their bike to check.  I had to tell them it was mine.

  A way to mute disconnected radar would be wonderful.  I just need to hear it once and press "MUTE".

  Opening a ticket and taking the discussion offline away from the community doesn't solve anything. It's not a single user experience, all of us are blighted by the disconnect alerts. I hope a resolution is updated here please.

  When you turn sound off, it turns off the alert when it detects a car but it does not turn off the disconnect sound which is the most annoying tone when you hear it every time it disconnects. At least 5 disconnects every ride.

  I've been having the same issue with my Karoo constantly. Even just upgraded from my older RTL515 to the new RearVue 820 but it's just as bad. Had to entirely turn my Varia off on a recent ~50+ mile ride as it was beeping every few seconds, driving myself and everyone in my group crazy. This has me seriously considering abandoning Hammerhead and trying a different head unit.

  I got the new Lezyne radar and it disconnect less often.  What I also noticed is that when my power meter battery is low, it does this, as is disconnecting from Lezyne radar but still not as bad as RTL515.
