Karoo randomly pauses

I have a new Karoo, and my riding buddy has a Karoo 2.  Both of us are experiencing random pauses during a ride.  A notification appears "Ride is Paused", and three loud beeps sound.   It happens infrequently, but is very annoying because if you don't see or hear the "pause" notification so you can resume the ride, data is lost.  

We're both running the most recent version of the Karoo software.

Is this a known problem?  Is there any setting that can be changed to avoid it?  Any suggestions welcome.

  I'm getting this too but only when I stop for 10 min and then continue.  Usually, it would resume but sometimes, it would not.  I can understand if this does it all the time but it's once in a while.

  Interesting.  It always happens to us while riding - usually while ascending a hill.  I can see if it would auto-pause if it thought we had stopped (since we aren't going very fast while climbing) but it never automatically resumes after speed is increased.

  I had the same thing happen just a couple of days ago about 60km into a ride. That was the first time this year in my case, although it has been a rare bug going back to day 1 in 2021 for me. For the record, with a Karoo 2 on very old (Di2 enabled) firmware.
