I tried this feature on my Karoo 2 and it can barely be heard.  Is there a way to adjust (significantly increase) the volume to make it truly useful?

Good point. Sounded loud enough at home but sounded quite low when on the streets

Hmmm, I wonder what I am doing wrong as I can barely hear mine at home.

I was sitting at my desk following the setup instructions and tried it, it is barely audible.

on the Karoo 2 it is practically inaudible...why bother to introduce such a useless function???

@Guido Del Giudice:  I appreciate you confirming my experience, it is good to know that I am not the only one! :)

yup...maybe it works on the Karoo3 since the speaker is a lot louder but what is the point of making it available for the 2?

@Guido Del Giudice:  Hopefully Hammerhead can come up with a fix!

Geht nur bei reinen Datenseiten, nicht bei Karte und ist außerdem fast nicht hörbar. Totaler Junk.

I often ride with the map shown. In this case the double touch does not work. This is not a useful.

Also the bell is not loud enough to be heard bei hikers. I hope in Karoo 4 there will be a well constructed bell. The idea is good, it is done bad by now. But the much more expensive garmin 1050 is not better at all. The bell is also not noisy enough.

I stay with my bell at the bar.

Wahoo (Roam 3 and ACE) have the feature and in many case, people don't hear it (I have both devices and tested this). While it is nice that this has been added to the Karoo, it is too silent and the sound isn't great (I am aware there is little room to change this); however, the  original radar sound on the Karoo was ultra loud and annoying -> use this for the bell?

the radar sound on the Karoo 2 is also not great…when you say it was ultra loud before what do you mean?

perhaps they should give us the choice to change the volume??

There have been several threads regarding loudness of the Karoo radar beeps. This has been addressed by adding a new sound scheme with three different beep options. Before this, there was a single option and that was so loud I initially returned my Karoo back in November last year (people were turning their heads and almost crashed because the beep surprised me). That sound (on the Karoo (3)) would be a bell that does it's job, though the sound was terrible and not bell-like. ;-)

Agree to changing Bell Sound to a "bell sound".  To be effective, it needs to sound differently from the radar alert.

Why is this feature available on the Karoo 2 when its barely audible... Is there anyway to make it louder?

Ich denke nicht das dass Klingel irgend ein Fussgänger hört, bei den ganzen umgebungsgeräuschen. Lieb gemeint, aber völlig nutzlos.
