#Good Point "Another thing that I think could at least be chosen and that would make it easier to view is that when we're climbing, what we've already climbed and that appears and is left behind (wasting space) no longer concerns us or interests us. However, it takes up that dead space there in the profile".
Why not make it disappear so that the remaining climb can be seen in greater detail each time?.

This is exactly what i ask for. So, while you are climbing, the remaining climb will be more accurate and with much more detail.

I thought I wrote a comment, but either I didn't save or something else happened. Anyway, I would *not* like to have the completed part of a climb disappear, at least when doing serious climbing in the mountains (Alpes, Dolomites, etc.). It helps me a lot to gauge and keep motivated when I see what I have already achieved/completed.

Moreover, I wouldn't like the user experience, when the x-axis (and probably y-axis) scaling is permanently changing (e.g., 10km climb, what was 1m at the beginning is 2km at half the climb, etc.). Thus, I'd like to retain the feature as is, but I think adding a zoom could be beneficial. However, having done a 27km climb last weekend, I wasn't in need of any additional detail. The Karoo (3) has 480px in the x-direction, so for my 27km climb, each 100m segment had almost 2px, which was fine.  The fine-resolution (next 500m in 100m steps) is already below the profile, so that level of detail is enough for me.

Maybe is a personal question. I prefer the implemtarion on the link. But get the possibilty of a zoom is a sweet spot. This is what i prefer

But wouldn't that just be a page with the upcoming elevation and suitable data fields? It looks like you only see a fixed distance ahead, which is what the upcoming elevation already does. Unless I miss something, the desired goal could be achieved with what Karoo already offers.

I wouldn't mind having a zoom option for climber, but climber has a completely different purpose and appeal for me: it shows the entire climb (rather than a fixed portion), shows me were I am on the complete climb (just like on TV watching the grand tours :-) and it even tells me the gradients of the next 5 100m segments (which is similar to a zoom with a fixed 500m look-ahead window). I really enjoyed this last weekend. It is much better than anything I have used before (Wahoo and Garmin).

Its normal many people like you prefer see the whole climb but i think that see the part that its behind you is not eficient. But is an opinion. The part that is remaining i think that it would be a good idea have an option to give the possibilty to see the rest of the climb or only the next kilometer. Maybe is a good point where you and me will be happy.

David, I understand that everyone has different ideas, requirements and opinions. I love the Climber page/drawer as it is.

However, I'd like to understand what exactly you'd like to see, because:

    - Climber already shows the next 500m (actual avg. gradients) in segments of 100m

    - A rolling future elevation profile with zoom is already available as a data field

Maybe I misunderstand what you have in mind (the video didn't really help me). Anyway, a zoom option on the Climber drawer would be fine, if that what suit your needs. You could have full climb, next X km, next Y km. However, this may actually create additional questions like:

    - how should the y-axis look? Should the zoomed fraction cover the full y-axis? Or should the y-axis scale to the full climb? etc.

Christian, thanks for your thoughts. A zoom option would be good for me. I know, as you say the next 500 meters are shown down the profile with numbers but are less easy to understand than the profile when riding. maybe if the slope colors were better this numbers shown below would be better for me.......Big problem to me is when on a long climb about 20 kilometers and when climbing a 4% to 8% slope that the profile always green color.

David, I understand. Yeah, the colors (or their distribution over gradients) isn't ideal. I hope this is improved at some point in time. I actually liked the gradient numbers in the 500m ahead when I was in the mountains last time, but the colors weren't so helpful. The climbs were plenty and long enough, so that I at some point I got immersed into the Climber drawer and all was pretty intuitive. I guess that a zoom would be nice, anyway, and I understand the Climber drawer isn't the same as data page. :-)

Yeah, the following 500 mts is good, but when the gradient color will be better it will be much more intuitive.

scrolling could be implemented like it happens on Bryton with Climb 2.0

If you add the climbing tile not with the numeric one but the graphic one it does a better job on displaying the climb than the climbing drawer.  Just make sure you only have that only tile on the screen.
