Compass in the map screen and in the data fields. Why not?
I recently purchased the new Karoo, replacing a competitor's device that I wasn't entirely satisfied with, especially due to the lack of a magnetic field sensor.
Much to my disappointment, I found that the Karoo, despite having the sensor, doesn't have any features that utilize it.
I installed some navigation apps on the Karoo, such as Kamoot, and found that the magnetic field sensor works perfectly, orienting the map while stationary. Many compass apps also work without problems.
I wonder why there's no option to use the magnetic field sensor, either to orient the map while stationary or to include a compass in the data fields!

I'm not aware of a way to change the orientation of the map, though. So you only get the fields, not updated map or icon orientation. I also have no idea if this is bad for battery. Your mileage may vary, buyer beware, etc.
