Having a problem with an old fashioned stationary trainer

I’m trying to use my old Kinetic fluid trader with my Hammerhead K2. The sensors on the trainer show up on the K2 as a single multipurpose sensor that has power, speed, and cadence, and the K2 shows all three in the data fields.

But the K2 won’t record the distance travelled when I use the sensor…

Any ideas about what I’m doing wrong?
