End of support for Karoo2

Hi 

After January 2025 Hammerhead will drop support for Karoo 2.

So no software updates aster January 2026.

What abiut maps updates? Will they be still releasing?

  I too would like to know if map updates will still be available for K2.

  After reading through several other threads regarding user map updating, my conclusion is no updates will be pushed to K2, as per K1. Considering the rapid frequency OSM maps are updated yet HH drag along months behind I've just accepted outdated maps are just part of living with the device.

  How are maps normally updated on the device (new / K3 user)? Is it a manual check process, info banner warning, or automatically in the background?

  It looks like they are included in the regular firmware updates, if there's an update available for your selected region / country, according to google - is this correct? If so, that's perfect for me as ill receive GB updates whenever ready, since i update the firmware when available. But i get that rules out map updates for the K2 unless the process is changed.
