FEATURE REQUEST: Change data field mid ride

During a very long ride I realized I would need a certain data on the screen that I did not have pre-set in my profile. I think this can happen to anyone, and this would be a nice feature to add dynamic data field setup during activities.

Note that I tried but could not figure out if I can exit the ride view, go back to the menu and mess with my profile setup while the ride is on? Of course if it exists, it's fine it just was not self explanatory enough - I have the impression that I can only exit a ride view if I actually stop it.

  Long-press the bottom right hardware button to go to the main menu, you can access settings and profiles from there mid-ride.

  Hmm, I see this for the first time now. Is there a possibility to have a full pdf or otter type of downloadable document with all the features of the K2? That is much easier to read then webpages.

  Got it, thanks for the quick answer. Now I get it that there is an App switcher that can be initiated with the long press of the right button. Still, this is not self-explanatory I suggest stg showing this feature.

  The one thing this method won't let you do is switch between light and dark mode mid-ride. I found that out the hard way on my last ride.

  1. Start activity

  2. Long press bottom right hardware button to go to main menu

  3. Press bottom left hardware button or tap the icon for "apps", select Settings

  4. Go to Display, tap In-Ride Dark Mode

  5. Tap the back icon or the bottom left hardware button until you are back in the main menu (or hold the bottom right hardware button to go there instantly)

  6. Tap the bike icon or the bottom right hardware button to go back to your active ride (which is now in the opposite color mode)

  Did you encounter some issue doing this?

   

  (By the way, one handy feature is that if you always exit sub-menus and settings by holding the bottom right hardware button instead of tapping all the way back is that if you are in the main menu and double tap the bottom left hardware button, it opens up the Android App Drawer and you can quickly jump to whatever you were last editing in the settings)

  @Pauli Ervi -- Tried exactly that and it didn't work for me; came back to a dark mode profile. Went to light mode at start of next ride.
