I'd sideload a 3rd party app such Windy or whatever. Which I know is not convenient to switch between that app and your actual ride data fields, but better than nothing.

Where did you find that app-store? Are there any apps you can sideload? Wind-information would be a great thing!

I know how to sideload apps. But I just want a native datafield like I have on my Garmin 830. I don’t want to use the appswitcher to go to an app with wind information. I think that’s irresponsible when you’re out on the road. To be honest the Karoo 2 is good In what it does but otherwise it’s very simple navigation device and no more then that with few options.

Isn't feeling the wind on your face, or you're butt, or just looking at stuff moving in the wind enough to figure out wind direction? 😀😀

I check the wind direction etc on my android windfinder app.  I then select a course with a headwind at the start so I can look forward to the tailwind later.

@Geoffrey Wyatt : Murphy law dictates, that on the way back, there will be no wind at all or it changes direction and still be headwind

@Martin in that case always start with tailwind.

+1 to this. Just saw GPLama's youtube showing this on his Garmin. Would be very nice to have and would put that on my main page even. 100% necessary? No, but would be very useful. Having weather in general plugged into a head unit would be nice.. would think in the next few years it will be. The features the Garmin can do vs what the Karoo cannot, in combination of this newest UI update (10 year step back), has me thinking real hard about my next cycling computer.

You can always use the app Epic Ride Weather, to see how would be the weather in your route, based on a especific ride speed.

Longtime coming but I launched windfield for Karoo today.

Get it at windfield.app to sideload until Karoo approves me for the on device extensions
