GPS turned off after 8/12/21 update
AnsweredWhy was the GPS function turned off on my Karoo2 after the most recent update? I could follow the tracking while riding but when I went to the Dashboard, I got a message that "GPS needs to be turned on to upload ride". How am I supposed to know that it has been turned off by an update if it appears on the screen? Do I need to check Sensors every time there is an update? It's very annoying to lose a ride like this.

Hey David,
Could you confirm if the Location had toggled off after the software update? This is a rather unexpected behaviour.. We would love it if you could perform a factory reset on the unit and observe if the same issue repeats when you download the next software release.
Please do feel free to drop a mail with further insights at support@hammerhead.io so our team can look into the issue.

Hi Akhil!
I also experienced an almost similar problem twice after the 8/12/21 software update. Given that my Karoo 2 is connected to my speed sensor, it was able to record my distance. When the rides were uploaded to my Hammerhead Dashboard, it says in hindsight that I have ridden 65 & 108 kilometres. However, when it was synchronised to Strava, it shows that I have only ridden 1 to 2 kilometres. I double-checked the rides in my dashboard and apparently, my GPS stopped recording after the first two kilometres. I already did a factory reset before it happened again so I am really not sure what is going on. This is honestly frustrating because it has happened twice consecutively, and I am honestly starting to lose confidence about my rides because of this glitch. May I know if there is a way to troubleshoot this? Or if there is a way to fix this in the next update? Thank you!
Here is a link to the said FIT files and below are the screenshots of what has happened.
