Distance tracking not same as map

How can it be that the distance measured in Rides = 50 km and then on the hammerhead map it only shows 48 km?

  If you're talking about the Hammerhead Dashboard then I really would not rely on the distance or elevation figures shown on there.

  I have previously reported various discrepancies across recorded distance and elevation but it seems there are higher priorities to resolve.

  I have found the actual Karoo 2 to be highly accurate when measuring distance using only the built-in GPS sensor. Whenever I try to correct the distance in Strava, a 50 km ride is usually to within <10 m of the corrected distance.

  Ignore the Dashboard data.
