I agree. Of all the things they could have coded, that was probably last on any list.

But on the plus side, they have an auto lap!

One would think that if - at least perceived - a large number of users despair primarily of the miserable battery life, that the integration of pointless animations should indeed be very low on the list of things to do. But hey, it certainly looks good in some marketing concepts to attract investors. SCNR!

Another user here that doesn't like the "holiday photos". In fact, the day of the update, I demoed the unit to a friend at work and cringed a little bit when the profiles displayed.

That wasted effort could have been put into making the SLS tab usable.

Agree 100% I would really appreciate a statement from the karoo folks how this or the 68. Update to the karoo setup experience is highest on their priorities. I know they have to sell devices and keep users from returning them, but I think they would sell far more devices if they fixed the annoyances pointed out by existing user. Simplicity, speed and battery efficiency should be way higher on the priority list than beautiful animations and backgrounds.

Any statement on that from the hammerhead team?

There are several comments about battery life here. What are you guys experiencing? I just received my device yesterday and haven't had a chance to do extensive testing. If any of you have a similar set up where the Karoo2 is receiving ANT+ data from (1) HRM, (2) cadence sensor, (3) speed sensor, and (4) Varia radar, what's your battery life after a 3 hour ride?

Sure we got an auto lap function, but not based off where a lap starts. It’s off time or distance. Completely worthless as a function in multi lap events unless you know the exact distance your lap will be.

Regarding the battery (offtopic to the background picture): after a 4 hour ride with all sensors on (PM, HR, Varia) and routing I have remaining 60-65% with screen light about 1/4 (which is more than enough). So I‘m pretty sure battery will last for 8-10 hours, with battery save mode as final option still available.
