Karoo 2 constantly crashes to main screen during ride, map text / tiles glitching (Solved)

Hi there - I have a Karoo 2 running build 1.251.1117.12, and since the Oct 7 firmware release, my unit has the following two issues:

1. With the GPS / map started for a ride, text and the map tiles glitch, blinking in/out, and showing the incorrect location. Some quick example images:

2. Constant crashing of the Ride app back to the main dashboard; manually selecting the Ride app to restart/resume the ride generally works, but takes constant vigilance or major parts of the ride can be missed.

I've already tried a hard reset of the unit, and to delete/re-load the offline maps. Unfortunately neither fixes the issues.

I've submitted a support ticket but I thought I'd poll the community as well. Anyone have this issue out there?

Solution: This morning I took a look at that Profile; I had two Map-based layouts in a single Profile, and that seemed to be causing the bug. I removed the second Map-based layout, and both the new Profile and the existing one that was bugged now work correctly. So problem solved!

  Hi Sully, it seems to be a problem due to the corrupt ride profile. Could you please create a new one and test it out? You can then replicate the old profile on to the new one, if it is successful and delete the old profile later.

  This morning I took a look at that Profile; I had two Map-based layouts in a single Profile, and that seemed to be causing the bug. I removed the second Map-based layout, and both the new Profile and the existing one that was bugged now work correctly. So problem solved!

  It's too bad two Map-based layouts can't be in the same Profile, though. I generally have the Map as 75% or more of the screen and then maybe Distance and Speed up top, but occasionally I'd like to be able to swipe right and have a 100% Map layout.

  Sully - Rest assured it’s not just you. I thought it was the latest update as, having updated on Saturday, my ride today (Sunday) was nearly ruined by a malfunctioning (normally perfect) Karoo2 displaying EXACTLY the same issues as you described and linked to in your Google Drive images (which was very helpful). But… excited by the new layout in the latest release, last night, I went into my MTB profile and accidentally added a 2nd screen with a map. I didn’t know how to delete it, so though, ‘Ah, no bother, I’ll just ride like that’. Seems to have caused the problem. I cannot confirm if that is the case, as it’s Paella time here! But hopefully, it will be. Thanks so much for sharing your issue to help me solve mine.
