compass/bearling datafield - being ignored by Hammerhead

I have had my Karoo 2 now for 6 months.  Overall I love it and some of the updates have been neat and interesting.  I still find it hard to believe that there isn't a datafield that can tell me my direction.  I don't like to follow a pre-described route as much as I just like to ride and explore.  Knowing my direction easily is very handy and a feature I'm used to on a garmin since 2008.

In those I think there are 20-21 unique people that have asked for this feature.  It seems like that would be enough to get interest from the hammerhead crew.  Please listen to your users.

  Probably not what you’re looking for but there is a live compass on the map which I personally find a lot more useful than a heading without context. I use it mostly to predict wind directions on upcoming stretches.

  Sven, The compass on the map can be useful.  In a long ride I get tired and it takes brain power to translate the arrow and the direction i'm going :-).

  Agree with you and used it on my Wahoo Bolt. This can’t be a difficult one to implement and make available as a selectable data field. Also love the K2 overall and happy with my choice.

  I’ve just got a K2.  Discovered you can’t set Heading as a data field.  Very annoying.  I have emailed support the following message.  I suspect my K2 will be going back.

  I have just taken delivery of the K2. I have discovered you cannot select a data field of compass direction/heading. This is a serious absence and I see your customers have been requesting this feature for 2 years with no change. This is probably a deal breaker for me even though I have yet to use the K2 on a ride. I can return the K2 in the first 45 days of use.
  Please advise if you intend to definitely provide this data field and if so WHEN.

  These suggestions and the feedback have been shared with the Product Team. It has been requested in the past, but we have seen increased interest in it as of late. There is not a timeline for this yet, but it is on the team's radar.
