So, what happened to the two week update cycle?

Hi Malte, we are still sticking to the 2-weeks cadence but it's safer to release a more stable software than rushing through the releases.

Just read throw the changelog notes. If everything works now bugfree what you wrote down there, this is the one single update that finally addresses pretty much every issue I had with the Karoo. Very exciting!

Very much looking forward to testing out this new update.

I'd like to reiterate that it would be awesome to edit the control center ourselves if possible.

For example: Due to where I live, I have to recalibrate the elevation on EVERY ride and i usually have to do so about 3-5 minutes into the ride. Using control center for this would be much easier than scrolling through settings.

While I didn't switch profiles often, I really appreciate this feature being added to control center. I feel like I need to buy some smart lights now.

Does the new on-the-go power-off and route restore functionality also allow me to produce one activity instead of two, when I power Off the Karoo on my route. If so, this is the best change from the start of Karoo!!

@steve you can check the software release notes here: https://www.ca.hammerhead.io/blogs/change-logs - also, HH will email the details to you if they haven't already.

@grzegorz - I think that was the point of this, otherwise why make this addition (at least, I certainly hope that's the case). I'll be testing this out tomorrow.

@Steve Knight the Garmin tail light works for me. I have a Varia 515. When my ride ends the light turns to the "off" mode (the actual device is powered on - as specified in the release notes). It adjusts the lights to the different flashing modes as I push them, too.

Steve - what's the model of Radar do you have on your bike?

@grzegorz - yes, there will be single FIT file.

@Ali - great news, another question if I switch off Karoo more times during the trip, I can restore the trip each time and it will be saved as one? Is there any quantity or time limit?

I have the 515. I repaired them and the software shows what flash mode the radar is on but it wont change the mode or turn it off.

Steve - are you recording a ride when you do that? Check this article: https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/1260804314929-ANT-Smart-Light-Integration

If it still doesn't work - please send us an email at support@hammerhead.io

@ Grzegorz Sroka - there is no limit to ride restore.

Same issue as Steve Knight, I have a Varia 515 and while the unit recognised the light, it will not change any of the light modes?

@David: The troubleshooting steps that we shared with Steve has resolved this particular issue for him. Could you please try the below steps and see if that resolves the issue or not?

    1. Unpair the light from Karoo
    2. Make sure the light is on
    3. Hold the light’s power button down for 8 seconds, until the light’s LED indicator gives a little blip
    4. Turn it back on pair it with the Karoo, and try again.

the only thing that the light wont turn off and on is if you end a ride and then start another the light wont turn back on or if you pause the ride and turn the karoo off it wont turn the light off.
