Power Meter L/R Balance not saving in FIT file
AnsweredHi,
I am concerned about left/right leg power data.
I can see the data on my karoo screens while biking, but when I download the FIT file from the dashboard, it is not there anymore. I can see left/right effectivity & smoothness, but definitively NOT the leg balance. The data is simply not there.
I have tried opening the FIT file with different software and find the same result in all of them. Empty data for balance.
For your own benefit, I really think you might take advice of coaches, cause they use/recommend/certify gadgets for all the bikers and create tendencies in the market.. Just an opinion ;-)
Thx for all the effort you are doing to improve, even if HRV intervals are not there yet ;-)

Hi Julio, We would need to look into the FIT file, if you can share it with us in an email to support@hammerhead.io. We do record the L/R balance similar to how Garmin/Wahoo head units do. Here's a screenshot of what it looks like.

Hello!
As I mentioned, in the email, I use Golden Cheetah in a daily basis, in fact, the screens I sent you are from GC, but I even imported in Garmin Connect and can not see the balance data either. Really really weird.I will try with some other tools, not sure if I'll be able in the free version of T.PeaksI'll let you know, but I'm completely sure that data does not show in my GC or GC (Spanish version?? 🤔)In the meantime, could you please validate that you can see the data inside Garmin Connect?
I dissasembled both Garmin & Karoo FIT files, and FIT from Karoo seems like completely disordered comparing with Garmin's, although meanwhile if follows the specification, it should work. Maybe it is a fault in my Golden Cheetah version, but could you please check in Garmin Connect ? I can see there Smoothness and Effectiveness but not balance either.Thx!! -
I'm not the only one, I guess :-/
