Downloaded Maps Did Not Appear On My K2
AnsweredLast year, I went for a cycling holiday in the South of France. Before leaving the UK, I downloaded to my K2 the appropriate French maps and some routes I had plotted in RWGPS. When I arrived in France, and switched on the K2 to set out on my first ride, the map just didn't appear on the screen. I waited for several minutes but, eventually, got fed up and set off with a good old Michelin map [but left the K2 switched on]. After at least 5 hours, the map magically started to appear on the screen and worked OK after that
Why did the map not just appear on switch-on? Do you have to connect to something [wi-fi, dashboard etc] before setting off on your first ride? Do you have to 'enable' downloaded maps in some way? If it helps, the location of the start of the ride was not within wi-fi range
Any ideas what went wrong? I am planning a similar long distance trip this year to Poland, and I want to feel confident the maps are going to be available when I've driven all the way to Poland...
Thanks
