Moving average speed (like with Garmin data field)

Just got a Karoo 2 but one field I rely on from my Garmin is moving average speed. On the Edge 1000 I could set up a custom data field to calculate average speed excluding any stops - and I could get this to match Strava pretty closely by adjusting what's considered stationary - turns out to be a little over 0 mph to match Strava.

Does the Karoo 2 support any calculated data fields like this - or is this something that could be added? Even better could a new speed field be added that excludes stops - waiting at traffic lights, waiting for fellow rider etc?

I know I could turn on auto pause, but never like to use this since I find it tends to be unreliable.

  I was under the impression that average speed would exclude the auto-pause time. And auto-pause can be tuned.

  I love my Karoo (and have since being an early adopter of v1), but the average speed data field has irked me since the beginning!!

  I want to know what my average speed is, excluding stops, not since the start of the ride. This is essential to pacing rides properly.

  just finding out the avg speed does not exclude auto paused time. is there really no way to change this?

  I find this very odd - I mean, what's the point in a pause if the metrics are not paused. I guess average or lap average power do not decrease through a pause, so why should average speed?
