ERG mode issue on Karoo with smart trainer
Hi team,
Since the end of October, I’ve been experiencing an issue when using Karoo to run workouts on my smart trainer. After about 15–20 seconds of each interval, the trainer no longer holds the target power.
I’ve already tried calibrating the trainer, but that didn’t resolve the issue. This problem does not occur when I use TrainingPeaks Virtual or MyWhoosh—the workouts work perfectly there.
It seems that ERG mode on Karoo loses the target power, and I have to change the resistance manually to maintain the desired wattage. I’ve been using planned workouts via Karoo for the past three years without any issues, so this behavior is new.
Could you please help me understand what might be causing this problem? I’d really like to continue doing my workouts through Karoo instead of virtual platforms.
