Repeat Counter - Karoo Feature Request
I am desperately missing a Repeat counter within Workout counters (similar but different to Interval counter).
Use case:
In TrainingPeaks, I have a workout defined like warm-up, several repeats 1, base, several repeats 2, base, cool down.
A repeat is a set of repetitions, duration and target, e.g. 10 x ( 0:10 @350W, 1:50 @150W). The counter shall show how many out of the 10 repeats I have completed, e.g. 7/10.
Today, there is only a total Interval Counter available in Workouts. This is not sufficient, because I would have to calculate too much, e.g. 7/24 doesn't tell me anything where I am within first Repeat block.
Workout visual is not suitable neither because 10x 0:10 sprints is too small in total workout graph. When I zoom into Workout graph, it is useless either because it only shows the next workout (it scales every interval to screen width).
This feature is available on Garmin Edges. Means, TraininigPeaks provides this information thorugh API.
Raise thumb, if if you think this FR is useful for you!

I totally agree with this suggestion. In fact, I’ve already opened several threads in the forum asking for something very similar, but unfortunately I never received any response from Hammerhead.
It’s surprising that something so basic in pretty much any cycling GPS is still missing on the Karoo. When you’re doing structured workouts with repeats (like 10x efforts), seeing a repeat counter such as 7/10 is extremely important to know exactly where you are within the block.
Right now the interval counter (e.g., 7/53) isn’t really helpful for that, because it doesn’t tell you where you are within each repeat set. And as you mentioned, the workout graph isn’t practical either for very short intervals.
To be honest, it feels like many of the key elements needed to properly follow a structured workout are still missing. For example:
-
A detailed workout view where zoom actually lets you see short intervals clearly.
-
A repeat counter within repeat blocks.
-
Data fields with colors like the ones shown in the workout preview when loading the workout.
-
Data fields that reference the upcoming interval (for example, the target power for the next interval).
These are all things that make a big difference when trying to execute workouts correctly on the bike.
Honestly, this is such a standard set of features that it’s starting to make me look at other devices, since Hammerhead doesn’t seem to be addressing these kinds of requests.
You definitely have my thumbs up on this FR.
