Routegraph extension

I'm very happy with this extension especially the Minimap, great. Now experimenting with the POI feature but it behaves not as expected by me, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.
When in Nearby mode and e.g. looking for a camping site on my current route, most of the time I get a message "failed to fetch POI's, overpass API overload. This happens in both linear and ahead on route setting. However sometimes it creates a list which is correct but next time it gives the error again. So it behaves not consistently.
Furthermore, in Search mode, a list of POI's is given however at distances of >>100km. The settings for "Max POI distance from route" is 2km. This also happens both in linear and ahead on route setting.
I hope this makes sense. Could you have a look at it since the POI feature can be very helpfull.

Hi,
by default, the extension does a request to the public overpass API every time you look up POIs on the nearby POI tab. The public instance is currently over capacity unfortunately, and requests are frequently rejected. More information is available here: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Overpass_API
I have implemented a second way to look up POIs, which works by downloading the POI data for individual regions to your Karoo. You can download them for individual regions in the routegraph settings menu. Once you have downloaded them, looking up POIs on the nearby tab will read them from the downloaded data, which has the added benefit of working also when you are outside of cellular coverage during a ride.
The "Search" tab uses a different API (https://nominatim.org/) and can not use the offline POI database. The POI search radius does not apply there as it's meant to be used to look up unique locations. I've recently used it on my device to look up a location by entering a postal address. It will also find things like "Brandenburg Gate" etc.
