Squadrats Map Overlay
For all the Squadrat collectors, I've built an extension to show uncollected Squadrats (and Squadratinhos) as colored grid outlines on map pages during your rides.
Currently, it supports Karoo 2 (and newer models) and thus is built for an offline-first workflow. That means you should cache/download your collected Squadrat data before you go for a ride.
The extension can be downloaded for sideloading from https://github.com/leoschweizer/karoo-squadrats - see the readme there for detailed setup instructions.
I look forward to your feedback :)

Hi Leo, thanks for creating this extension, as a Squadrats user I've been waiting for one! I've managed to configure it as per the instructions. However, following synchronization, I only see some of the unexplored squadrats. I set the center location with GPS, and set sync radius to 50km. Somehow I see "unconquered" squadrats 25 km to the west of me, but don't see others 20km to the north. After a restart, I see a cluster of squadrats 20km to the south-west, but the two above groups are missing. Or one of them is present. It changes with each restarting of Karoo and seems to be random. And I never see more than a handful of these squadrats (a cluster or two here and there), and there should be more and more of them the further I scroll the map away from my regular riding routes (up to the 50km cache radius I set, obviously).
Am I doing something wrong, or is it a bug? -
@RadS what you are experiencing is very likely a limitation of Karoo's extension mechanism. The visible map section is not exposed to extensions. Thus, the Squadrats extension can only decide on what to draw based on your current location and map zoom level. For lower zoom levels, bigger radii around your current location are covered.
This can lead to all kinds of unexpected effects when scrolling the map manually. Ultimately, this just isn't supported properly (by Hammerhead).
But if you just go for a ride, most likely everything will work as expected.

@Jussi Hirvonen this isn't supported by Hammerhead, see https://support.hammerhead.io/hc/en-us/articles/31150180125083-FAQ-Hammerhead-Extensions
