Also, in some third-party mounts the actual attachment part of the mount is itself attached to the rest of the mount with screws and can be turned 90 degrees so you can use them with the Garmin adapter. (Then again, the basic plastic+o-rings Garmin mounts cost less than ten euro/dollars/pounds for a pair...)

Same - the K-Edge mounts have 4 screw holes so you can rotate your Wahoo adapter 90 degrees and it works fine.

That said, it would be a great customer experience if during checkout you were asked if you are upgrading from a Garmin or Wahoo head unit so they could drop a Wahoo adapter in the box.

It does, but the receiving end has to be either a Garmin mount or Wahoo mount rotated 90 degrees. My point was that it would be awesome if they could include a Karoo 2 quarter turn adapter specifically designed for the Wahoo mount so you don't have to go through the trouble of reconfiguring your Wahoo bike mount as discussed in this thread.

I bought this third-party Karoo-Wahoo mount adapter for use with my Wahoo mounts on different bikes, and it works great.

Dan's adapter is for the large Wahoo computers. Does anyone know of an adapter for the Wahoo Elemnt Bolt?

The adapter converts the Karoo so it can be used on Wahoo mounts. If you have a Bolt mount you just have to get a longer one. The Karoo -> Wahoo adapter remains the same.
