[Feature Request] Independent Control for CLIMBER Pop-up and Ride Detection
Hi everyone,I would like to suggest an improvement for the CLIMBER feature.Current Situation:At the moment, the CLIMBER detection and the half-screen pop-up are strictly linked. If I want the system to detect and record climbs, I am forced to see the full-screen pop-up every time I hit a gradient. If I disable the "CLIMBER" view, the device stops detecting climbs altogether. The Proposal:I would like to see an option to keep climb detection active (so climbs are tracked and available in the "Climbs" tab) while having the choice to disable the automatic half-screen pop-up.Suggested Implementation:Instead of a mandatory full-screen overlay, Hammerhead could implement a small notification at the bottom of the screen (similar to the turn-by-turn navigation cues). The small notification would inform the user that a climb has started. If the user is interested in seeing the full details, they could simply tap the notification to expand it to half-screen and swipe up to full-screen. If not, the climb continues to be recorded in the background without obstructing the main data pages. Why this is useful:Many riders want their climbing data recorded for the ride summary but find the automatic half-screen pop-up distracting, especially on familiar routes or during specific intervals where they need to monitor other data fields (Power, Cadence, navigation, etc.). This change would offer much more flexibility and a less intrusive UI.Thanks for considering this!
