Climber data completely off
AnsweredHi there.
monday last week I tried the new "predictive path" feature which enables the use of climber without following a route. It actually works quite well and I was very delighted of this great feature - especially since I like climber much better then the Garmin "climb pro" feature from which I assume it is inspired.
The only problem is that elevation data seems to be completely wrong at least on the ascents I was doing (on my usual round the corner workout). one of them is a quite steady 9-10% ascent where climber insisted on fluctuating between 18 and 6.7%. It is quite strange to have climber say the 18% ascent flattens to less that 7% when actually there is no noticeable change in steepness. Same thing for the Schäftlarn ascent (which everybody in Munich knows) where climber even dreamed of an intermediate descent which absolutely is not there (the hill is between 5 and 7%).
Is this a known problem and is there a fix? I can offer coordinates if necessary.

We would love to look into this for you for improvement. It is a known issue in some regions, specially in EU. Data from your rides would help us a lot, specially if you are also aware of the reality. Could you share the sections from the original GPX file and locations of exact issue - where you see the inconsistency in an email to support@hammerhead.io?
