Hi Paul, if you have synced route from Komoot using the "sync button" - It only imports the 50 most recent routes from Komoot.

if you want more than that, to stay on your Dashboard/routes - we suggest import via URL

Hi Ali! Thanks for the answer! Could this be changed, as it doesn't really make sense.. so if I import it via URL it stays for ever, as it has a flag or so? The sense in using Hammerhead for me is, that it is easy to use. So the sync button should to the same as importing it via URL.. maybe it would be possible to add a setting, where the user can chose like, the last 50/100/all entries.. or so..

Hi Paul, as of now the sync button works as a relatively quick way to sync routes directly from Strava/Komoot compared to import via URL. I have forwarded this request to our product team for consideration.

I was a bit annoyed by this limitation as well but figured out there was at least a fairly good reason for it. If your route is getting old (presumably it takes at least a month or two for a route to fall out of the 50 most recent ones), it might be out of date because of road closures or new roads/paths/whatever.

I have accepted the workaround of first re-planning any route on Komoot that I haven’t created recently before resyncing it to Karoo and using it. It is easy enough: find the route – Replan This Tour – Open in Planner – Save. I see at least some changes in the route (red route lines on the map) maybe 10–20% of the time and I tend to have a lot of intermediate points fixed so the machine does not have that much space for creative freedoms.
