Dysfunction of HH-Heartrate-monitor

About three years ago, I bought a Hammerhead Karoo 2. I always have problems with my heart rate sensor: It seems to "eat" batteries and does not work. My dealer in Germany, Bike 24,  replaced the item twice - without success! 

It´s not really funny to have a system, worth about 400 EUR, that does not work!

Can You help me?
