If you are planning on using the powerbank to charge the Karoo while riding, I’d say pretty much any USB powerbank will do and the main considerations are mechanical: general robustness (powerbanks handed out as swag are just awful), form factor (do you have a frame bag where it fits or will you just attach it to the handlebar), and finding a cable that isn’t too long and fits between the unit and the handlebar, if you are using an out-front mount.

(I personally have used some small thing from Anker about the size of two fingers attached to the handlebar near the stem with a couple of elastic bands.)

Using the Karoo standard mount, will there be enough room between Karoo2 and steer/stem to get the USB-C in without stressing it?

Depends on the size of the USB-C plug on your cable. I have a couple of random cables with a small enough plug that it will fit comfortably enough, but most cables (iirc including the one that came with the unit) definitely won’t.

I use a USB-C cable with a 90 degree connector for this purpose, otherwise the connector won't fit between the Karoo and my handlebars.
