Unable to connect my Karoo2 to Shimano Di2

I am having issues getting my Karoo2 to connect with my Di2.

I have the latest EW-111 and can connect it with my android smartphone E-Tube app ok. 

However when I try and connect to the Karoo2 is just says "Searching" and then either timesout or briefly connects then drops. I have followed some previous instructions to remove all other sensors -> reboot the karoo2 -> try adding the Di2 but same thing happens.

It was working fine before Xmas, but now getting the "Summer" bike out something seems to be different.

  So after a hard reset I managed to get the Di2 to connect but it keeps searching and dropping connection during a ride, anyone help with this as it's a step backwards and annoyance in my book.
