Disable sensor without unpairing?

I have a new Varia radar so I paired it to my Hammerhead Karoo 3. When it is enabled, I noticed Karoo is still searching for the old one. I would like to keep the old one paired in case I need to use it (for example, while the new one is being charged). Is there a way to get the Karoo to not waste battery searching for the old Varia when the new one is connected (some disable function)?
