Weird elevation data when riding in the rain!
AnsweredHi guys,
When riding a familiar route this morning, I noticed that the gradient indicator was *way* off (reading -3% when going up a +8% incline). This started happening soon after going through a reasonably heavy rain shower, and continued for the rest of the ride; invariably, the incline was negative, despite being on the level or heading up hills.
On uploading to Strava, the entire ride showed around 200m of elevation gain, whereas the normal gain is around 800m.
Is this entirely down the barometric altimeter being affected by the rapidly-changing air pressure associated with the weather system?
Thanks, all!
