Faulty data recorded (speed, distance)
I'm reporting my first experience with the Karoo 3 (and support) because I'm having issue with uploads to Rwgps. Rwgps shows incorrect distance, ride time, average speed and max speed. After investigation with Rwgps support they pointed me to the actual recorded data in the Karoo fit file. This shows many stop and go's. A lot of times it shows speed going to 0 one second and then 56kmph the next. During those seconds the gps coordinates do change but the distance does not.
The smoothing out in most apps like Komoot, Strava and Hammerhead fix this issue (or work around it). Rwgps shows the actual data with much less smoothing out resulting in many stop and go's showing on the route speed diagram.
Have any other of you Karoo users noticed this issue? Have any of you reported this with support? Any luck solving it?
I'm trying the forum here (although there doesn't seem to much activity) because Hammerhead support is just pointing to Rwgps for the issue, ignoring the actual facts and data delivered and just say there is nothing wrong with the unit (or software). This last bit is pretty frustrating because besides buying an expensive unit I put time in troubleshooting and present them will it all the data.
