Apple Health: rides sync as data samples but no workout is created
Switched from a Garmin Edge to the Karoo 3 recently — loving the device, but the Apple Health integration isn't creating workouts.
Hammerhead is listed as a source under Workouts in the Health app, but it shows "No Data". Looking at what Hammerhead has actually written, there's only Cycling Distance, Cycling Speed and Heart Rate — no workout entries and no Active Energy. So my rides never appear in the Workouts list or in Apple Fitness, and don't count towards the activity rings. Garmin Connect writes rides as proper cycling workouts on the same phone without any issue.
The integration is connected in the Companion App, all permissions are granted, and I open the app after each ride to trigger the sync.
Is the workout object supposed to be created? If so, something's going wrong on my setup and I'd appreciate help diagnosing it.
Thanks!

Update — I found the cause. One specific ride fails to sync to Apple Health with the error "Apple Health data connection issue, data cannot be synced at this time." Crucially, this doesn't just fail on its own: it blocks the queue, so no subsequent rides reach Apple Health either, which is why I saw no workouts at all.
After deleting all Hammerhead data from Apple Health and re-syncing only the other rides, workouts appeared correctly.
So there are two issues: whatever makes that individual ride fail, and the lack of error handling that lets one failing activity block all later ones. The second seems the more important of the two — a single bad ride silently breaks the whole integration.

I have the same issue and error message. Confusingly, my last few rides on the app have the apple health logo, indicating each has synched - but they are not in health or fitness. I can see rides from last week. I see this error message frequently. They should just remove the connection whilst it is fixed.
