Hangs on "Saving your ride..." screen

Since last update 5th May 2022 hangs on Saving your ride screen and the ride appears lost. Karoo 1

Also it took ages to download the new firmware

  Just an update: We’ve fixed a bug on the original Karoo that prevented it from properly recording rides without GPS.

  Mine also got stuck on that screen. I was able to load the quick settings screen by pinching the both sides. Then I could unlock from RainLock. Then again to the quick settings and from there I could go to settings. Hope this helps. 

  The getting stuck while on RainLock is probably a bug, though. 

  EDIT: This was on a karoo 2, I see you have a 1. Maybe it still helps

  If it's a common issue, please share with us the solution.

  Last ride got stuck i a loop saying Saving Your Ride but lost eventually.

  Today I tapped the yellow save icon twice then the ride was lost and the Karro 1 returned to my riding screen telling me to start a new ride.

  Is it possible to hook up the Karro to a PC and extract some file to save the ride anyway?

  My issue was on an indoor ride with the gps turned off...it would never save...just hang.

  When I turned on the gps it appears to be working.

  So the problem has not really been solved.

  I don't want/need gps on an indoor ride (riding around in my flat)

  Now when you say it, Patrick. On yesterdays workout I turned the GPS off and forgot to turn it on today. And I had problems with saving both times. Nothing to do I suppose?!

  It leads me to my suggestion, and Hammerheads promise, to get more functionallity to the Karoos Profiles. Tying GPS on/off per profile, bike per profile, sensor per profile and so on.

  Maybe this could have saved me some trouble. I suppose I never ever turn off GPS anymore. I have to live with a psyco GPS track inside rather than forgetting to turn it ON on outside rides.

  I hope Hammerhead hold their promise to develope Profiles. Very soon I change brand but I don't want to becasue of the good screen etc.

  Hi All, This issue on K1 is getting fixed in the next update. We have not heard the report for the K2 yet, so please write to us in an email to support@hammerhead.io if you face this "stuck on Saving ride" issue

  Also, there are profile changes planned for this quarter, and remains are focus. In the last update you may have seen some changes, and the upcoming release will bring in more with the Bike, and Indoor/outdoor profile. Thanks for all your engagement.
