Strava Live Segments: Wolf and Carrot are the same for every segment

I think there's a bug in my Karoo 2. On every segment, the Wolf and the Carrot are always the fastest person whom I follow.

Separately, the Wolf makes sense. It is the nearest competitor behind me. The Carrot is currently defined to be: the best effort recorded by your nearest competitor for that segment.

Why nearest, it could be the Wolf which is just a duplicate. Shouldn't the Carrot be the nearest competitor *ahead* of me?

  Hey Mike, we don't make any changes to the segment data downloaded from the Strava starred segment. I'd request you to reach out to them to understand this better, as they would have more control over your ride data.

  Strava side is fine. It's Strava live segment feature in Karoo that I am talking about. Say I follow 2 people: P1 and P2. P1 is faster than me in this segment and P2 is slower. While I am riding that segment, my Karoo 2 shows that P1 is the carrot and P1 is also the wolf. It's like that for every segment. That is undesirable. Not sure if it's a bug or bad design. I expect P2 to be the wolf.
