Hi Cameron, if you are reviewing this inside your home, the No-GPS lock may stall the location address for everything else to work. Did you try to solve this by going under a clear sky?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "the GPS lock may stall the location address". I can try outside but I'm just a bit confused why the device being inside would impact it

Inside the building, the GPS sensor on Karoo doesn't get locked to the satellites easily due to closed walls. GPS fix should work outside.

Same issue here. This must be the only connected device in the world that is connected to the internet but won't perform a basic task like generating a route.

Why? Because you are not outside, as if the device cannot use wifi or cellular to show your location on the map. This is just a mind-boggling omission.

It does seem strange! It also has trouble performing an auto-calibration indoors. Presumably the Karoo will lose signal if you go under a bridge that is the width of a house???

@Ali please tell me of any other cycling computer that cannot generate a route indoors. You enter your starting location such as your home postcode.

Even if we ignore the fact that this is a device that supports both wifi and cellular connections, device with on-device routing can do this entirely offline.

With the Karoo 2 being Android based and surely using off the shelf parts built for mobile phones, this is entirely a software limitation that sounds easily fixable!
