K2 over heats, freezes and eats ride

During my second workout on the velodrome tonight, my K2 unit was in the saddle bag as I don't have a compatible bar mount for these aero bars. I tried it in my pocket earlier but the weak "radio" for the unit or my power meter couldn't connect through my body. 

After the 1.5 hour workout I took the unit out to end the activity but it was frozen on the black/white start "hammerhead" screen. The unit was pretty warm so I can only assume that it over heated in the saddle bag and crashed. I was able to restart it by holding down all the buttons for a few seconds but my night's elite track training workout is long gone by the looks of it.

  Mine rebooted today while I was at lunch.  It's never happened before in 9 months of use.
