Strava Segment Feature Request
Hi,
Some feedback on the Strava segment implementation. I find the Strava segment graph and numbers too small to see while riding, especially on the MTB and gravel bike. While I like the visual of the Strava screen, in reality, when pushing really hard for a KOM or PR it takes too long to check out the various visuals on the screen and this ends up being dangerous when offroading as taking your eyes off the path for longer than a second can end badly. I do, however, find it more usable for longer road segments, where I can look down for a few seconds to take all the info in. So, I am not asking to remove anything or make changes on the current visual, rather I am asking for a few more options when doing segments.
1) A very obvious and therefore instant way to tell if I'm ahead or behind the KOM (or PR/Wolf/Carrot), my thoughts are to make the screen (or some very noticeable part of it anyway) change from orange to green if I'm ahead.
2) Data fields that are Strava specific - I moved from Garmin to HH and found there were a few really useful Strava specific fields in Garmin - can you just replicate those so they can be used in data fields. The main ones I recall using were distance to go, time ahead/behind, distance ahead/behind. Those, along with the data fields HH currently has would be fantastic. Again, colour changes from green when ahead to red/orange when behind would be super helpful.
I strongly feel the colour change for ahead/behind would be awesome and allow me to use the HH for my off road riding - at the moment I am considering using my Garmin for those activities and the HH for the road.
I understand this request will probably already be in or soon hit a HH feature request queue, could someone at HH please post updates on any timelines you would have for this? I would greatly appreciate that.

Yes, exactly what Mark said!
I am an avid Strava Live Segment (SLS) PR chaser. In fact, this is the singular most important feature in a head unit to me. I do not really care as much about the KOM as they are not realistic for me, and my nearest competitors ahead/behind me are of minor interest. I am primarily focused on besting myself.
Most of my PR hunting is on lengthy climbs from 2 to 10 miles. In the heat, with sweat dripping in my eyes while l completely bury myself, I don't have the luxury of staring at the screen. My old man vision made worse by sweat, I need big, easy to read color coded fields, the most important of which is time ahead/behind. Garmin does this best at the moment. I returned a Wahoo due to its unreadability under PR hunting conditions.
I'd love to see an alternative SLS screen that is greatly simplified, or configurable with specific SLS fields.
Thanks for reading.

+1 totaly agree
But I'll add another thing I HATE from strava tab and is the distance remaining. When distance remaining is below one km the format displayed is like .25 and with the heart at uppper limit i can't see the dot and my head does not add de zero on the left. It'll be much better .250 or 250m or 0.250
