Discrepancy between map and turn-by-turn directions

Hi, I've been uploading komoot gpx tracks on may karoo 2 for a while now and found that the turn-by-turn directions more than occasionally indicated a specific turn, while the arrow on the map instructed otherwise – leading to confusion while on fast group rides.  Am I interpreting the t-b-t directions wrong or is there indeed a disconnect sometimes?

  Many weird turns just come from oddities in the Openstreetmap data that Komoot does not filter out properly. For instance, “turn left, then after 0 metres turn right” is a familiar instruction also when using voice navigation on OSMand...
