Feature request: Turn lights off temporarily when ride paused manually

I have a Varia Radar and a Bontrager ANT+ connected front light and I love the fact that they are turned on automatically when the ride starts, and turned off when the ride ends.

As a simple extension to this, I would really like if the lights could be automatically turned off temporarily when the ride is paused manually (not auto-paused) - this would be great for coffee breaks (to save battery) and quick shop visits with the bike (to avoid blinding other customers) :)

  Hi Petr, it's an interesting request and something our team has on their radar. I have shared your direct feedback and use case with them. We receive several requests from our riders around the geos, so we're not able to respond to or deliver on all request that we receive immediately.

  Just an additional vote, this seems like a no-brainer and something that should be really easy to implement.

  Thanks for the response, @Ali. It's good to know it's on the radar, I will be looking forward to the implementation some time in the hopefully not too distant future (I realize the priority won't be very high, but at the same time it's a bit of low hanging fruit).

  I was about to create a post requesting this.

  It seems an obvious thing.

  It's been bugging me that when I stop for a cafe ride the light is still on.

  Hi All, there hasn't been enough requests from other riders that allows this feature to prioritised above others that are planned.

  But this seems like such a simple thing to do, can the prioritization also take into account ease of implementation? All it needs is to turn off the lights when the ride is manually paused, turn back on when the ride is started again.
