Bug: PIN code input screen unreadable after going to sleep
AnsweredIf I wait for a while after turning my Karoo 2 on and don’t input the SIM card PIN code right away, the screen goes black after a minute or two. When I wake up the screen again, the PIN code screen looks different, with minimal contrast between the different things on screen. Indoors I can still see where to tap to proceed but outdoors and especially in sunlight is a different matter.
Today I actually for the first time had to turn the unit off and back on again to get going after first ending in what I think was the emergency call prompt (that one had normal contrast again, as did the power off confirmation) and then not wanting to do any incorrect entries.

Hi Anna,
Thanks for noting this - I have not seen this reported before. In most cases, people disable the PIN for their SIM to avoid inputting it each time. That could account for it not being something I've seen before.
I was able to test it out and reproduce what you are experiencing. The SIM PIN screen is part of the underlying Android OS so we have less control over its display characteristics, but I did find a way to restore the contrast so you could see it in the event the screen times out and goes to sleep before you input the code. If you touch the very bottom of the screen where "Emergency Call" is, you'll be taken to that screen. Then just press button B (lower left) to go back to the SIM PIN screen - the contrast will be restored.
In case you would like to disable the PIN so that you do not need to input it each time, the easiest way is to insert the SIM into your smartphone and disable it there, then move the SIM back to the Karoo 2. iOS instructions / Android can vary by manufacturer but most are very similar to these instructions from Samsung
