I get the same dark red banners occasionally. I assume they are information regarding my connected Varia. Agree that they are impossible to read and disappear way too quickly.

Ah, I hadn't noticed a correlation with the Varia. Will keep a look out for that. I don't understand why a banner would pop up as well as the side bar.

I always assume it's related to a low battery or disconnection issue regarding  the Varia but like you said I can never read it.

    Hi
This type of message appeared to me today...I stopped and was able to read the content.
These messages are low battery alarms from my taillight.
It would be perfect if this type of warning could be deactivated, it is very annoying and appears every X minutes. It's quite annoying.
A section within the sensor settings section where you can choose to turn low battery notifications on or off.

By the way, the brand of light used is not important...it should work the same regardless of the model.
In my case I use Bontrager.

I would consider this a useful message IFF I could read it while riding OR if I could read it when I stop.  I complained about the choice of colour - with no effect.  It should have better contrasting colours and LARGER text.

Hi All, there are some planned changes in this regards and should be available on the next 2 software releases. You should be able to swipe up to dismiss these banners, but ideally they clear automatically after 10 seconds.

And the colour and size of text?  It should be READABLE when riding.  After all, if you can't read the alert, and the battery on the Varia runs out, there is a real safety issue potentially.  How about a beep too (if there isn't one already)?

An up to date  gallery / glossary of the settings, icons, notifications and screen interpretations has always been the Karoo's "Missing Manual".

Searching for them in the fragmentary, "indexed" "Help" and FAQ's have provided endless hours or constant amusement for rainy days and job security for Franklin.
