INFO: Karoo 2 compatible SIM Card Germany

HI,

I just want to inform, thath one can use an ALDI TALK SIM Card for the Karoo 2 in germany as a DATA Transfer Card.

I bought an ALDI TLAK SIM Card for 9 EUR as prepaid SIM. So there are no charge later on.

I didn't book any subscribtion and pay per use. 

As of today July 2022 the cost per 100 KB is 2.5 Cent for the internet connection.

One hour of ride is something around 10 cent with live trakcer on.

You better use a phone to enable the card and to install it right for the first time and switch it to the Karroo 2. This works for me best.

  If you want to have something completely free of charge I can recommend the Netzclub Sim card. It requires manual configuration on the Karoo but once setup you don't have to worry anymore and there are 200MB free every month.

  It could happen to the SIM card from ALDI TALK, that if you do not book any subscription in the near future, it will be disabled at some point. Had this issue in the past with one SIM card which I used only as 2FA option.

  I can just agree about the Netzclub Sim, works really fine, just setting up the connection first time is a little hassle. After putting the right log in servers for the Mobile network, it works really fine.

  Hello,

  I just discovered this thread and wondered if someone would kindly send me the settings for the Netzclub SIM? I installed the free Sim-card (200 MB/month) but I simply do not manage to save a ride via the cellular option.
