Hi Seth, as of now it will connect only over the ANT+. We may look into the BLE profile as well. Could you please share the make and model of the sensor that you tried?

    Ali, thanks for the reply.

I bought a generic TPMS system sold in pairs for motorcycles:  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Y1QM2P5  There are many sellers and they all run on Bluetooth using a phone app or RFID with a dedicated receiver.  I connected them to my Presta valves using a Scrader-Presta adapter and they work, but only through the app. I thought I read that these systems can be connected to the Karoo2 through BLE and ANT+, my mistake.

Two systems designed for bikes, Tyrewiz and SKS Airspy, are bulky and very expensive at 5X-7X what I paid. The Airspy uses ANT+, but it's proprietary, as you may know. It also connects through BLE as does the Tyrewiz. At those price levels it's more of a novelty and will never go mainstream., IMO

What I bought is certainly attractive from a price vantage, but it's not designed for bicycles other than off-road users with Schrader valved tires, nor is it the final solution. BUT, in the interim, developing BLE pairing with the Karoo would be a plus for those of us who are on budgets.

Please tell me what ANT+ TPM systems connect with our device. Much obliged.

    Thanks for the details, Seth.

I have shared it with the Product team for consideration. As of now we have the TyreWiz working well from user reports, but any standard ANT+ TPMS should work.

Thanks, Ali. To my knowledge the TyreWiz is the only ANT+ TPMS. I think it's great the team designed a feature for only one, or perhaps, a few devices.  It will be welcome to a broader section of the community when they also allow BLE pairing. I say "when," not if, because it seems logical with the effort already expended that adding Bluetooth is probable, unless BLE pairing is a much more difficult undertaking.

silly question @Seth - have you tried sideloading the app that came with the TPMS because I have something similar on my moto's.  Might give this a go - thanks for the heads up.. be well..

Michael, sideloading to the Karoo2 or phone? If phone I was able to install it directly from the Play Store (I'm android.) No prob installing it and it works but it's wonky.  Returning the devices since they're not pairing consistently. Tried about 4 other apks and couldn't pair. Seems like the bindings are unique to each apk? What did you sideload?

    Michael-

Thanks for jogging my memory. I completely forgot DCR's post on how-to sideload to the K2. I'll try it for the TPMS apk, but I expect it will not pair through BLE.  I'll let you know.
