Feature request: remember map settings from last session

It’s long-finger glove season again, and at the start of pretty much every ride I’m reminded of the fact that you still can’t configure your preferred defaults for map orientation and scale. The scale you can at least adjust with the buttons, but orientation requires using the touchscreen, meaning usually a few tries to figure out if today’s gloves are touchscreen compatible enough and then finally removing the glove maybe every other time.

So, if adding more configuration options seems like unwanted complexity, how about simply remembering the map settings from the latest ride? Maybe even make it profile-specific to make it extra fancy?

  I'll hop on this and suggest a "x1", "x2" or "x3" beside the magnifying glass icon on the map page. I never know how far zoomed in I am and have to cycle through it to find out.
